That every individual life begins at the moment of conception in all mammals, including humans, is a scientific fact as indisputable as that the planet Earth is round. There is no second opinion in science as to when life begins. There is no scientific research ongoing to discover when life begins. The chapter on reproduction of humans or other mammal species in every science text that has one – in every accredited medical school, university or college in the world – reads the same. To deny the fact that life begins at conception is akin to denying the fact that the planet Earth is round. And yet there exists the Flat Earth Society, though its membership is few.

If there were a society for denial of life at conception, however, its membership would number in the millions – more than 200-million, by one survey, which found that 62% of Americans believe that life begins at some point other than conception. Its number includes presidents, congresspeople and Supreme Court justices. Suppose that 200-million Americans believed that Planet Earth is some shape other than round and there were laws and court decisions based on a flat Earth. Preposterous. Yet this is the circumstance with life’s genesis.

For this reason, the Association for the Advancement of Life Genesis Education came into existence.
